Patient Services. Pharmacies are seeing an increased demand in the number of services they provide their patients and a variety in practice settings.
Filled Prescriptions. The number of prescriptions filled increased from 1.9 million in 1992 to over 3.1 million in 2002, according to the National Association of Chain Drug Stores.
Available Drugs. An increase in the number of prescription and over-the-counter medications will require a broader knowledge base.
