What is Phlebotomy?
Crucial members of any medical team, phlebotomists are responsible for collecting patients' blood for laboratory testing. As our population ages and requires an increasing amount of medical attention, the need for skilled phlebotomists is expected to grow. Many schools offer certificate or degree programs in phlebotomy, providing training in the proper techniques for specimen collection and processing.
